GLENN CUNDARI, PAST PRESIDENT

I'm very proud of the work I have done as president of the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce over the past ten months. The committees have done tremendous work over this past year to serve the members.  North Bay is a world class city! I was honoured to have been selected the 2006 Success Story Business award winner. I will continue to use my energy, experience and pride in this community to serve you the member.  I will remain strong in my conviction that everything we do at the Chamber of Commerce must be done with the interest of the member in mind.  Born and raised in North Bay, Glenn has devoted his career to helping people enjoy golf more and currently heads the Cundari School of Golf.

DEREK SHOGREN, 1ST VICE PRESIDENT

I have enjoyed the past years as a member of the Board of Directors, as 1st Vice President, President and Past President.  I am an active participant in Board discussions and on past committees such as Strategic Planning and Government Affairs, and currently the Vice President responsible for the Economic Development/Strategic Planning committees.  I wish to put my name forward again this year for the Board as North Bay goes into another important year in its’ history.  The business community needs to play a vital role in North Bay and ensure that its’ voice is heard.  I am the General Manager of Canadian Tire.  I have also been the chair of Summer in the Park for the past two years; co-chair on the Labour Market Group; and chair of Stepping Stones (business incubator).  As a father, there is no more important goal than to provide our children with a future in North Bay.  My family has been in North Bay since 1930 when my grandfather Ralph Foster opened up a dental practice on Main Street.  North Bay and its’ development is and will continue to be very important to me.  Thank you for your consideration.

RICK EVANS, TREASURER

I would like to thank you for allowing me to represent your interests on this year’s Board and am pleased to have been Treasurer on the Executive since 2003 to present.  Other responsibilities include the Finance, Membership, and Administration Standing Committee.  The Board is dedicated to moving forward the Chamber’s aggressive business development strategy. I manage the City’s Mayor’s Office of Economic Development Department and, in the past, I co-chaired the Chamber’s Economic Growth Committee, and was a member on the Small Business Week Committee.  I have been involved in many task forces with the Chamber. Other vital partnerships have resulted in business-to-business ventures, such as the Export Development Initiative as well as the joint marketing with the D.I.A.  I have had over 20 years experience in the industrial private sector prior to joining the City. More importantly, I have a real passion for our City and a desire to help it reach its true potential.
