The staff at the Dionne Quint Museum have been busy this year, and we thought we would write down a few of our experiences!
Travelling Trio Tours Dionne Quints Museum!
August 19, 2009
Three road weary travellers made a stop to tour the Dionne Quints Museum today. From as far away from Timmins, Kapuskasing and Orillia, these three are on a Northern Ontario odyssey. From being a gnome on the lawn to becoming jet-set adventurers, their stoic gaze tells little of the sights they have seen. Although many people have been through the museum doors this year, no group has been as colourful as these wisened fellows.
Although they will not be here for the upcoming movie night, and sadly missed some of the events we had this year, we caught up with them admiring the memorial plaque at the front door of the museum.

My First Blog!
We have been having a great summer here at the Dionne Quints Museum, and Regional Information Centre. The summer had quite the kickoff with the Dionne Quints' Big Birthday Bash and Quintvention 2009; we had tourists from across the continent come to North Bay! The museum has continued to be busy throughout the summer. From the many tours that we do, we encounter many visitors with personal connections to the Dionne Family, varying from second cousins to college roommates. We also get a variety of tourists; some are experts, some are just interested, and others are full of challenging questions. We've recently created a 'Find A Match' game to engage our younger 'Quintologists' during the informative tour. Working at the museum has not only given me great practice in my future professional as a teacher, but it has also allowed me to meet some very interesting people, work with my fantastic colleagues and build on my knowledge of Canadian History. Come out for a tour! We look forward to seeing you!
Your summer student/Quint-Newbie,
Jenny
